Manager, Analysis Development and Application, Wyeth Research.
Aaron Kitzmiller manages a software development and services group at Wyeth Research responsible for core applications and compute infrastructure within the Bioinformatics division of Biological Technologies. His group recently provided critical front-line support for the transition to a grid computing environment and leverages that environment in the development and maintenance of key data warehouses.
Dr. Kitzmiller received his PhD in Neurosciences from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill focusing on the effects of local environment on single ion channel kinetics. From there he joined Glaxo-Wellcome in the Research Triangle Park and began work on integrated data systems for polymorphism detection and target validation. Since 2000 he has been at Genetics Institute (now Wyeth) providing data integration solutions and scientific application support within Bioinformatics.
