Mark Linesch
President, Open Grid Forum.

Mark Linesch was named Chairman of the Global Grid Forum (GGF) in September 2004. In this role, Linesch is responsible for leading the organization’s standardization, community development, and operational efforts globally. GGF was founded in 1999 to enable the pervasive adoption of Grid computing for research and industry worldwide. Prior to this assignment, Linesch was Vice President for the Adaptive Enterprise program at HP, which is HP’s strategy for helping enterprise customers synchronize business and IT to capitalize on change. Formerly with Compaq, Linesch served as the Vice President responsible for Internet, eCommerce and infrastructure solutions for Compaq’s Enterprise and Service Provider customers. With more than 20 years in the industry, he has held executive positions in strategic planning, business development, product and solutions marketing, as well as, solutions and software engineering. Originally from Ohio, Linesch graduated with highest honors from the University of Cincinnati and is a recipient of the University of Cincinnati Scholarship Award for academic excellence.
