In this technology session we'll examine the relationship between Virtualization, Grid Computing and Service Oriented Architectures and why infrastructures based on Virtualizaiton and Grid are strong foundations for realizing business and application benefits from the move to SOA.
In particular we'll examine SOA infrastructure requirements, managing the lifecycle of services, and dealing with the mobility and deployment of services. We'll survey applicable Grid middleware, their strengths and weaknesses, and their relative merit as foundations for SOA infrastructures focusing on J2EE application virtualization solutions such as IBM's WebSphere Extended Deployment. Further, we'll discuss maturity models and roadmaps, highlight enterprise scenarios and present client usage scenarios and examples.
