Robert Shimp is Vice President of the Global Technology Business Unit for Oracle Corporation responsible for marketing and sales support for Oracle's Database, Fusion Middleware and Enterprise Management product lines.
During his career, Mr. Shimp has been involved with the development and introduction of well-known brand name products including Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX operating system and HP Precision Architecture, MIPS microprocessors, the UnixWare operating system, and major releases of Oracle Database, Fusion Middleware and Enterprise Manager.
Mr. Shimp holds bachelor degrees in electrical engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
