Bob Thome has 20 years of experience working in the Information Technology industry. With solid experience in both hardware and software companies, helped shape the evolution of databases, clusters, systems, and support services. He has been at Oracle for 8 years, where he has been responsible for high availability and information integration technologies for the database. Today Bob manages the product management team in charge of Oracle's grid computing technologies, including clustered database and storage management features. He also serves as the chair of the Open Grid Forum's Reference Model Working Group, and is a member of the Open Grid Forum Board of Directors. He is in constant contact with customers and engineering and has a very current and deep understanding of both the Grid technologies and market.
