Grid Program Manager, HP.
Sara Murphy is the Program Manager for Grid Computing in the High
Performance Computing Division at HP. She was previously the Director
of Engineering for Commercial Software Products at Compaq, with
responsibility for transaction processing monitors, application servers,
compilers, and software development environments. Sara has been
involved with parallel processing and technical computing since the
1970's, when she was the co-author of one of the first globally
optimizing Fortran compilers in the industry. She has over 30 years of
computer industry experience in the areas of middleware, compilers, and
software development tools. Sara has BS and MS degrees in Electrical
Engineering from MIT.
