Senior Technical Leader, Cisco Systems, Inc.
Masum Z. Hasan is a Senior Technical Leader at Cisco Systems, USA. His work involves network control and management, virtualization, Grid and on-demand technology. Masum currently is leading a project called the On-Demand Network Services Engine (ODNS) that factors virtualized network resources and services into higher layer "clients", such as Grid, application provisioning systems, and various on-demand systems. ODNS services are web-services framework based. He obtained his MMath and PhD in Computer Science from University of Waterloo, Canada and combined BEng-MEng from Odessa National Polytechnic University in former USSR. Masum is on the organizing and technical program committees of a number of IEEE/IFIP/ACM International Conferences and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Network and Systems Management. Prior job experiences include Bell Labs Research, USA, University of Toronto, Canada, and a number of software companies.
