 Dave Angulo received his BS and MS in Computer Science from Loyola University of Chicago (with one year at California Institute of Technology). He spent 20 years in industry as a programmer in several high tech companies such as SPSS, SSA, DataLogics, and SIR/DBMS. He worked on Data General and DEC machines, and then on Windows and Unix. About 1998, he changed careers to go into Education. He taught at Loyola Chicago, University of Chicago, and then DePaul. He also spent 3 years doing research programming in The Globus Project at University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratories. Dave is chair of the Life Sciences Grid Research Group in the Global Grid Forum, and is the founder of the Illinois Bio-Grid. He has won several awards at top conferences for his research. He also has an NSF grant that funds undergraduate research fellowships (http://reu.cti.depaul.edu).
