  Director WW Linux and Grid Marketing, IBM.
 Carol Carson is Director of Grid and Linux World Wide Marketing for the IBM Corporation. Carol is responsible for IBM's Grid and Linux solution strategy, associated marketing programs and ecosystem development. Prior to her current position, Carol was the xSeries Linux Program Director, where she led IBM's world wide business development of Linux and its ecosystem, for IBM's industry standard server platform. She has varied background including system software strategy and development, e-business infrastructure solutions, marketing and hardware development. She has held various management positions in marketing and hardware/software development. She was responsible for the system software development for the Highly Scalable Parallel Cluster system software which included some of the Grid Middleware used today in many customer environments, as well as overall eServer responsibility for cluster strategy, marketing and offerings development.
Carol received her Masters in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her Bachelor's of Engineering from Syracuse University.
