  VP Grid Computing, IBM.
 Ken King is Vice President, Grid Computing with responsibility for
worldwide business line management of IBM's Grid Computing initiatives,
including business and technical strategy. Prior to his current position,
Ken was Director, Corporate Strategy which included business strategy
development, strategic modeling and execution consulting for IBM's emerging
business (EBO) leadership teams. Ken was also Director, Technical
Strategy for IBM's Software Group focusing on core software technical
strategy issues across all our software brands (WebSphere, DB2, Tivoli,
Lotus and Rational), as well as performing technology evaluations for
emerging technologies and driving the software group linux strategy.
During this time, Ken was also chairman of IBM's Open Source Steering
Committee for 2-years. Previously, Ken has held product and solution
development positions, including industry solutions for the Healthcare,
Financial Services and Insurance industries. In addition, Ken led the
development of First-of-a-Kind solutions with IBM Research and has held
numerous product management and project management positions.
