Gary Tyreman is Director of Product Management of Platform Computing, the global leader in grid computing solutions. Gary Tyreman created and manages Platform's New Ventures Group (NVG), a corporate incubator that specializes in designing disruptive innovation growth engines. The NVG team analyzes market trends, technology evolution and designs business models. Gary Tyreman's role involved development of the Innovation Management Model and day-to-day management of a portfolio of start-ups in addition to business plan development and funding.
Gary's career in product commercialization taking a technology concept through the entire product lifecycle in a timely manner spans more than 16 years, in excess of 200 product launches and more than US$600 Million in software revenue generation in a range of technology companies from start-ups to hundred million dollar product lines. Mr. Tyreman is actively involved in the standards community and has held key positions in the X Consortium (X.org) and Global Grid Forum.
Gary Tyreman has headed the product commercialization efforts of Platform Computing, Delano Technology Corp, Netcertainty, FloNetwork and Hummingbird and worked as a product consultant and advisor for a number of small to medium size companies. At itemus inc a venture capital firm, Mr. Tyreman led the portfolio acceleration unit.
