Mike Twelves is IT Systems manager at Corus Automotive, a dedicated Engineering consultancy making use of state-of-the-art engineering simulation tools, which is part of the multi-national metals group Corus. A Chartered Engineer by background, he is a relative newcomer to grid computing, having scoped and managed the deployment of a 100 CPU grid to support engineering simulation which went on-line mid-February 2005. Twelves is additionally responsible for Knowledge Based Engineering at Corus Automotive, a field in which he is recognized worldwide for the development of innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. Twelves holds a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing, specializing in CAD/CAM, from Cranfield University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with French from the University of Sheffield.
